August 2019

Hello Everyone:

It’s time to start thinking about cooler temperatures and soccer. It’s registration time for the fall session!!!

Registration can be done by sending an e-mail to spensa@sbcglobal.net or returning the enclosed uniform/registration form. It is extremely important to register your son/daughter via e-mail or mail. MYSA will not provide insurance coverage for any participants that are not registered. I cannot register your child with MYSA if you don’t let me know that he/she will be participating !!!

For players who participated in Spring 2019 you must:

            1. Register your son/daughter by e-mail or mail.

            2. Request a t-shirt only if your son/daughter has outgrown or lost the t-shirt.

      3. Fill out a MYSA or Medical Release form only if personal information or medical information has changed. I am trying to reduce the amount of paperwork in my file drawer. If a form is needed, you can download it from the SPENSA website.

      4. If your child has Down syndrome, I must have a completed/signed AAI form on file in accordance with MYSA regulations. If you gave me one in a previous session, you do not have to do another one.

For those players who are new to the program, you must complete the following and mail back to me immediately:

            1. Register your son/daughter by e-mail or mail.

      2. MYSA Membership form which must be completed for secondary insurance               for the children.

      3. T-shirt request

      4. The enclosed Medical Release form must be signed by the doctor and                        parents. This form can be mailed to the above address or emailed. The                      player may not take the field unless the Medical Release form has been                    received.

      5. AAI form if your child has Down syndrome.

A schedule is enclosed with dates, times and directions to the Soccer Park. Our Fall 2019 session will start on September 7th beginning at 9 a.m. at the Soccer Park. We are discontinuing the donuts on opening day. New players can get their t-shirt on opening day, so come a little early so they can change prior to the game. Whenever there is a possibility of questionable weather, call the hotline, 314-894-1339, press 2, check the SPENSA website, www.spensa.org or check your e-mail for a message prior to leaving for the game.

The last game is October 26th at the Soccer Park. The game will begin at 10 AM. If the game is cancelled due to weather, please come to the park at 11:00 a.m. for the luncheon.

We have a couple of requests for the families of our players. PLEASE DO NOT BRING your pets to the Soccer Park. As cute as the pets are, they can be disruptive and create a distraction for our players. Some of the players are afraid of the animals and there is always the possibility of allergies. Finally, our MYSA insurance only covers our players so we must ask that all parents/siblings be kept off the playing field. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation.

If you have any questions, please let me know. Please register early so we know how many participants we will have for the Fall Session.
